QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Duration time of the treatment?

The duration of a treatment is sometimes longer and sometimes shorter than predicted because every client is an example to itself and that’s how we treat our clients. Duration time for micropigmentation/microblading of eyebrows is approximately an hour, lips are being done up to two hours and eyes less than an hour.

The biggest part of the appointment we dedicate to consultation of the client’s wishes and what is the best to do, drawing the shape and determining the color of the pigment.

Does the treatment hurt?

Each person has a different pain tolerance, so each experiences the treatment differently. It feels a little more unpleasant than it hurts anyway. The presence of pain depends on the skin sensitivity. Of course, we always adapt to the client and if necessary, we take short breaks or cool the skin if necessary.

If the skin contains a lot of moisture, the micropigmentation treatment itself is much more pleasant. We advise you a lot of fluids in the days before the treatment. Sensitivity is higher during the menstrual cycle, so we advise you not to plan treatment in that period if possible.

Is the treatment harmful for existing natural eyebrows?

Existing natural hairs are not removed, it is even desirable to have as many as possible to blend better with the drawn ones. Only those hairs that eventually peek out of shape are plucked when drawing the shape of future eyebrows. So don’t pluck your eyebrows before your treatment.

How do you determine the color and the shape of the eyebrows?

The shape of the eyebrows is determined by the golden proportion of the face, physiognomy, and structure of the face. The color is being compared to existing natural hairs or in relation to the natural color of the hair if the hairs on the eyebrows are not there.

Symmetry is done by measuring multiple dots on the face. It is carried out in a state of complete rest of mimic muscles when the eyes are closed. Over two hundred muscles affect our facial expression, so in determining symmetry, it is important that the muscles are blocked. Measuring symmetry is crucial for the treatment of hair drawing itself. Each person has one half of their face different from the other. That’s why we’re here to correct that smaller or bigger nonsymmetric and make it as less visible as possible.

In which cases treatment is not recommended?

  • you have diabetes or high pressure (therapy)
  • you are taking blood dilution medicines
  • you have a built-in heart electro stimulator
  • you have severe allergies, rash, etc.
  • you have inflammatory skin conditions
  • any dermatitis in the eyebrow region
  • you are using acne medicaments
  • you are suffering from high-risk diseases
  • you are pregnant or breast-feeding

What do I need to know before the treatment?

  • avoid alcohol for two days before and after the treatment
  • avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and similar anticoagulants two days before and after the treatment
  • if you are doing micropigmentation of lips and you are prone to herpes, it is mandatory to take the antiviral medicaments three days before and after the treatment
  • if you have cracked lips nurture them in the usual way but don’t put anything on them 48 hours before the treatment
  • if you are doing micropigmentation of the eyes, it is mandatory to remove the extensions of the eyelashes if you wear them
  • if you use serum to grow eyelashes, you must stop this before the treatment, as it contains blood-grading agents, which can lead to the pigment spilling under the skin

Tips for the day when we are doing the treatment?

On the day of the treatment, we advise you not to drink caffeinated drinks, as they speed up blood circulation, which increases sensitivity. So does anything that contains garlic, spicy food and spices, also nicotine.

We recommend that you get a good night’s sleep and rest, because it will make the treatment much more pleasant. It’s good if you drink a lot of fluids that day and days before, that way the skin is hydrated.

On the day of the treatment and a few days before, you do not take Aspirin and other blood-classed medicaments, because then during the treatment you bleed too much and that prevents the pigment from entering the skin.

On the day when we are doing the treatment, we advise you not to plan important meetings or similar commitments, because the skin will be red for a few hours after the treatment and slightly swollen. We also advise you not to plan the treatment of micropigmentation/microblading before important events, because the color of the pigment up to a week after the treatment is much darker than the result that occurs after a week.

What happens after you inject the pigment into the skin?

Right after the treatment, the color looks darker for the first few days, because the pigment is on the surface of the skin. In a week, a new layer of the skin will cover the pigment. Then we’ll look at the color through the skin and it’ll look brighter.

For the next few weeks, the pigment is not only under new healing skin, but it’s also trapped under the old dry skin that will make the pigment appear bright in some areas. That’s why most cases require the treatment of correction.

What should we expect after the treatment?

It is quite normal to expect mild swelling and tightening immediately after the treatment, and at a later stage a slight itching.

The pigmented area will be darker immediately after the treatment, as well as the first week. After this period, the pigment will begin to fade and after three weeks it can be expected that the color will be as it will retain.

After 3 to 6 weeks, correction treatment is recommended. Proper care of the treated area after the treatment guarantees a quick and successful healing process.

Can I continue my daily activities after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, you can most normally resume your activities, but it is not recommended to go to fitness or other activities that require a certain physical exertion and sweating for at least a few days.

Aftercare procedure after the treatment?

  • treat it as a wound and let it heal completely and naturally
  • no touching of the pigmented area with your hands
  • gently tap the cotton pad for the first three hours on the pigmented area and gently clean the lymph. Just the first three hours are essential to wipe the treated zone with cotton pad and water. If we release it and don’t remove the lymph that the skin ejects, that lymph will be released soon and, in a few days, a gentle scab will be made. And where the scab appears, the pigment won’t stay in the skin. That’s why the first three hours are the most important. Oilier the skin is the more lymph will come out.
  • to avoid heavy physical activities for at least the first few days due to the sweating
  • at least ten days after the treatment it is necessary to avoid sauna, sun and tanning, swimming in pool or seawater
  • use absolutely nothing but Vaseline, which you get from me. Many other products dry out too quickly and slows down the healing process or vice versa, make the wound heal after just two days. That is not good. You should use just Vaseline. Several times a day for the first seven days for the long-term persistence of the pigment.
  • Vaseline massaging helps and speeds up the healing process
  • do not use any creams or any make-up near the area where we worked
  • do not put ice on the area where we worked, especially not on the lips or eyes – it could reach the frostbite

Can people notice that a treatment was done on my face?

No, micropigmentation/microblading is a very sophisticated treatment. The result can be completely natural and only on the request of the client we can make some more drastic changes.

How long after the treatment does the healing process take?

The whole healing process takes three weeks. Care for the treated area and the complete closure of the wound is for the first seven days.

What pigments do we use?

We are doing micropigmentation/microblading treatments with certified micro mineral pigments that do not pose any health risk and guarantees compliance with the skin.

All pigments comply with the safety standards of the European Cosmetic Directive and pharmaceutical law (Direktiva EZ 76/768, 6. Direktiva 93/35, EEZ ResAP(2008)1).

Pigments do not contain harmful, carcinogenic azoic compounds (without nitrosamines), heavy metals and do not cause allergies. Pigments are generalized by serial numbers and their quality is continuously controlled by independent, authorized testing laboratories.

What are the risks of the treatment itself?

We talk to the client first about her medical condition. If everything’s okay and she is not using any medication, there’s no danger of an allergic reaction. If the client follows all the advice about aftercare and hygiene after the treatment, there is no health risks.

How long does the pigment stay in the skin?

Micropigmentation in ideal circumstances and on ideal skin can take up to three years and microblading up to two years. But it’s impossible to predict how the pigment will heal and what will the result be. Everyone’s body and skin are different and in some rare examples there is even a possibility that your body does not accept the pigment, your immune system simply rejects it. It happens very rarely, but it can happen.

The durability and existence of the pigment in the skin depends of many factors such as lifestyle, health, type, and skin condition as well as the aftercare itself after the treatment. In theory the pigment should stay in the skin from 6 to 36 months at micropigmentation and from 12 to 24 months at microblading. But it is recommended to refresh the pigment once a year, because that’s when the pigment begins to fade slowly.

The persistence of pigment depends on a lot of sebum secretion, hormonal disorders, generally from the health of the client (liver and kidney diseases) and the consumption of medicaments, sun exposure and solarium exposure, use of creams with active ingredients and various abrasive facials.

Also, the persistence of the pigment depends on whether the skin is oily, problematic, and prone to acne and inflammation.

Pigment refreshment

Pigment refreshment is a type of correction, where the intensity of the pigment increases and with it can also partially modify the shape and the color. Refreshments are done once a year.

When does the pigment completely disappears from our skin and how?

Our immune system takes care that the pigment begins to fade away from our skin. If the client doesn’t renew the pigment, doesn’t do the color refreshment, that pigment will fade away with age and disappear. When that will happen depends on the type skin and a few other circumstances, so the color fades differently by each person. Roughly that process takes from two to five years.
